In October, PRINTING United will open its doors to its newest expo and education spectacular, built on the strong foundation of SGIA Expo. From October 23-25 in Dallas, exhibitors are already excitedly providing a sneak peek into what attendees can expect to see on the show floor this year.
This series of blog posts will give you the inside track on some of the newest products coming to market, special events, and important business intelligence you don’t want to miss as you plan your trip to Dallas.
One of the exciting things about PRINTING United is the ability to see all of the latest and greatest technology in the printing industry — no matter what market segment you represent. PRINTING United will also feature a host of global product launches as well as feature products being shown in the US market for the first time.
Below are just some of the scoops exhibitors have provided about the products they plan to have on display in October.
Onyx Graphics, Inc. (Booth6818) will be showing the newest ONYX 19 release of the company’s wide-format RIP and print workflow software. Introducing the Spark Engine and DeviceLink+, ONYX 19 brings new cutting-edge technologies so print service providers can go bigger, bolder, and beyond the limitations of wide-format print for all print applications including soft signage and textile.
Expolinc reported that its launch of SEG fabric Framen at SGIA Expo 2018 was a resounding success, so this year at PRINTING United (Booth 7530), the company will launch its backlit version. The backlighting is LED with no shadowing coupled with complete balanced illumination. The Expolinc Frame offers a user-friendly SEG system and requires no tools or specialized labor to setup. The unique magnetic connectors guide users to a smooth, stable and safe installation. The optimized packaging minimizes shipping, drayage and storage costs.
Heidelberg’s new Diana Go 85 will make its US debut, running live, at PRINTING United in booth 10143. A cost-effective, flexible and productive folding-gluing machine, and at just 9m long, the Diana Go can produce cartons at speeds up to 250 m/min. It can handle a variety of carton styles such as straightline and lockbottom, as well as optional special styles such as envelopes or even presentation folders. The Diana Go fits well in most commercial environments due to its compact design and its versatility and is the perfect choice for any commercial printer looking to bring finishing in-house.
At the show, Brett Martin (Booth 7952) will present Foamalux Calibre, its newest foam PVC substrate for the print and display sectors. Featuring an exceptionally hard silky surface, the substrate possesses excellent engraving properties, printability and graphics adhesion. Strong, durable, easy to cut and handle, Foamalux Calibre comes in 48” x 96” sheet sizes at 10mm - 30mm thicknesses.
Attendees will also see Afinia’s CP950 Envelope and Packaging Printer at PRINTING United booth 11448. Built with Memjet’s Sirius print engine, the CP950 Envelope and Packaging Printer features a stationary printhead for ultimate quality and reliability resulting in vibrant, colorful prints in high resolution up to 1600 DPI. Job sizes from small to large are economical, with five high-capacity 250ml CMYKK ink cartridges delivering an ultra-low cost per print.
