Durst Group won three 2023 EDP awards last month at FESPA in Munich, Germany. The Durst Group won awards for P5 Robotics, the P5 350 HSR printer, and Durst Workflow Software. P5 Robotics is the next level of automation for flexible and continuous production cycles with long run times. The VKR3200-HS is a true roll-to-roll printer delivering phenomenal quality for banner, static cling, wall covering and other flexible material. The robust 3.2 meter (126”) roll-to-roll UV-LED printer is capable of producing 3,000 square feet per hour utilizing Kyocera’s 4.25” KJ4A print head and high-speed electromagnetic drive system. The KJ4A is a two-channel print head design that supports two colors at a time. The small 4, 8 & 12 picoliter drop size ensures tight dot placement for a vividly printed output on substrates up to 1” thick. These advanced features make it the fastest and most accurate printer in its class. The VKR3200-HS is field expandable up to two rows of heads for a total of 8 and supports CMYK plus W. The Durst P5 500 will be making its American debut in October. This 5.25m roll-to-roll printer brings “superwide format” to the P5 portfolio. Rolls can be processed in single, dual and triple mode - in dual mode even asymmetrically.
