Over the past few years, digital textiles have been growing. Better print technologies, more diverse substrates, and greater awareness are all contributing to the growth of the category. But that said, it has still only scratched the surface. The true explosion of growth and opportunity is just starting to arrive.
Matt Richart and Dallas Fowler, owners of Digital EFX Wraps in Louisville Ky., are not shy about using color. “We like to make a visual impact with our wraps,” says Richart. “With today’s digital printing technology and inks, you can hit almost any color.”
Agfa (Booth 8242) is bringing several inkjet engines and software solutions to PRINTING United. Its systems let users print a variety of eye-popping displays, point-of-purchase materials, billboards, vehicle graphics, and backlit signage up to 125" wide.
TELUS hosted an art competition among local artists, and the winning entry was featured as a huge wall mural on the side of the TELUS Grand Prairie office building. Once the winning artwork was chosen, TELUS partnered with Epic Imaging based in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia to take care of the rest.
While Konica Minolta may be showcasing one of the widest ranges of products on the PRINTING United show floor, it’s the applications that are drawing the most attention at its booth.
