CAMBRIDGE, U.K. — March 6, 2019 — Xaar's 1201 printhead has debuted in a range of new printer launches at two exhibitions in China - the DPES Huaqiao 2019 Print Expo at Huaqiao International Expo Center from March 3 to 7 and the 27th Shanghai Ad & Sign Expo (APPPEXPO) at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) from March 5 to 8. At both shows, a number of OEMs are displaying their Xaar 1201 based printers demonstrating a wide range of applications including UV flatbed, UV roll-to-roll, eco-solvent and textile printing.
The Xaar 1201 is a Thin Film Piezo Silicon MEMS technology printhead suitable for a wide range of industrial applications including graphics and textiles. With 1,280 nozzles and a capability to produce print with an apparent resolution of more than 1,440 dpi, the Xaar 1201 delivers high print speed and high drop placement accuracy.
As a versatile printhead compatible with different ink types, such as UV, eco-solvent and aqueous inks, the Xaar 1201 perfectly supports customers’ different printing applications and requirements. A variety of printers displayed at both shows are based on the Xaar 1201 printhead, demonstrating the confidence of OEMs in the Xaar 1201 technology and also proving its versatility across multiple applications.
In addition to offering the latest inkjet printhead technology, Xaar has built an ecosystem of support to facilitate the R&D of its Chinese OEMs and ensuring a shorter product development cycle and time to market. Working with its Master Distributor in Greater China, Guangzhou HaoCheng International Trading Co., Ltd. this ecosystem includes electronics integrators, ink manufacturers and RIP suppliers.
“Our extensive network of support for the Xaar 1201 is ensuring our Chinese OEMs can integrate Xaar’s latest printhead technology within their new printers very effectively,” says Leon Wu, GM of HaoCheng. “The Xaar 1201 printhead now not only provides the high-performance OEMs require, but more importantly has the application expertise and support to deliver even greater business opportunities.”
“We are very pleased to see that a number of OEMs have already chosen the Xaar 1201 – placing their trust and confidence in our printhead,” says Jason Remnant, head of product management at Xaar. “We have already seen more than 30 machines installed with the Xaar 1201 printhead on display at the graphics tradeshows this year and look forward to continuing this growth and development through our OEM support network.”
