Mark Rugen, Director of Training and Education at Mutoh America (Booth 900), and Ken Parsley, Product Applications Engineer at Mutoh America, will give a presentation on why attendees should use UV printers today at 3 pm in room N115.
The session will focus on the way the UV printing market has changed, specifically due to UV-LED, the size and scale of the industry and opportunities available in it. The session will also look at the options and capabilities of the equipment in the industry.
“UV-LED has changed the UV print market,” Rugen says. “No longer are you facing high temperatures to cure the inks and that means more medias are now compatible with UV printing.”
Rugen and Parsley believe the potential for profit is reason enough to consider UV printers. They believe the market has a number of different ports of entry, and there is money to be made there for all different kinds of businesses.
“Attendees should find that the UV-LED market is larger then they thought,” Rugen says. “They will see some of the projects that can be made using these types of printers.”
They plan to introduce attendees to way that the changes in the UV printing market can help make businesses that branch into the market more profitable as the market continues to grow.
“We believe that UV-LED will continue to grow in popularity over the next few years, and may at some point even replace eco-solvent inks entirely,” Rugen says. “UV-LED printing offers the business the opportunity to
expand current offerings and markets by adding yet another profit center.”
