Need details on how the printed electronics industry is changing? The 2018 SGIA Expo has a session specifically on the current state of the printed electronics industry. Mike Wagner, Engineering Manager at Butler Technologies Inc.; Art Dobie, Technical Specialist at IKONICS; Vince Cahill, President at VCE Solutions; and Ed Cook, President of ECI Screenprint will be speaking on the topic. The presentation takes place today at 3:00 pm in room N117.
Wagner has more than two decades of experience in printed electronics. His time in the industry has given him a vast amount of knowledge on the subject, so much so that he serves on Butler County Community College’s engineering curriculum board. He also continuously attends classes at local colleges to keep himself informed on what is going on in the industry.
Dobie has spent more than 30 years in screen printing. In that time, he was made a life member and Fellow of the Society of the International Microelectronics and Packaging Society (IMAPS), and won the 2006 IMAPS John A. Wagon Technical Achievement Award for outstanding technical contributions to screen printing technology as related to microelectronics.
Cahill has been in screen printing since 1969. He started his own custom screen printing operation, the Colorworks, in 1980 and ran it for more than two decades before selling it in 2008. He has run VCE Solutions since 1995 and continues to do so today.
Cook founded ECI Screenprint in 1991 and has been running it ever since. He has spoken at SGIA Expos in the past and will continue to do so this year.
The four of them will discuss the state of the industry, touching on some rising applications, techniques, business conditions and opportunities in the industry.
