A vast majority of wide-format producers are, by definition, small businesses. And like many small businesses, they are comprised of the people of their community, and in many cases serve the needs of that same community. Because of what the wide-format segment does, it is uniquely positioned to meet the needs of nonprofit organizations of all types, to help them educate, promote, raise money, and meet their missions.
The series of articles that follows presents four wide-format companies that have heeded the call and worked to help charitable and nonprofit organizations market and communicate in ways they might not otherwise be able to do. In some cases, the time and services donated may fill a need for a cash-strapped organization with ambitious goals; in other cases, the work done, and the messages conveyed, may change lives in profound ways.
Inspiration, it should be noted, goes two ways. First, a wide-format company, like yours, inspired by the goals or mandates of a nonprofit, may be compelled to serve. Second, the charitable organization may be inspired by the processes wide-format companies use, realizing they can expand their reach and amplify their messages.
