The RICOH (Booth 7001) Pro VC40000 features a powerful combination of speed, resolution, and ease of use for the transactional, transpromo, and direct mail markets. It delivers documents with crisp text and imagery, while separate black and color printhead arrays allow for cost-effective printing of color and monochrome applications.
At the heart of the RICOH Pro VC40000 lies the RICOH TotalFlow Print Server R600A, its high-performance digital front end that has been optimized to deliver advanced workflow management and make the production of complex, data-driven direct mail even easier.
The RICOH Pro VC40000 debuted with speeds up to 394 fpm at 600x600 dpi, with two higher-speed options that can be toggled on and off on the fly, helping increase throughput and uptime, drive down turn times, and contribute to printer flexibility. These include:
- A high-volume monochrome option, which prints monochrome output 50% faster, at 590 fpm and 600x600 dpi
- A high-speed option for monochrome and color, which prints at 492 fpm and 600x450 dpi
These offerings empower print providers to adapt their technology to their customers’ needs. The Pro VC40000’s three print-speed options add further flexibility to an already highly configurable platform, designed with compatibility with a number of workflow monitoring and management software tools in mind.
With paper support from 40 to 250 gsm, application possibilities range from lightweight books to high coverage coated media. The platform features separate black and color printhead arrays, allowing cost-effective printing of color and monochrome applications. An optional fifth printhead array enables the use of additional fluid choices, such as MICR or security inks for specialty applications, including checks.
