Businesses today need to transform and embrace the "new norm" of customer needs and marketing execution and deployments, affirms Skip Powers, senior advisor, Graphic Systems Division, Fujifilm North America Corporation (Booth 8220).
Powers will lead the session “How to Grow Your Business Profitably,” on Wednesday at 3:00 pm in Room C144.
As print service providers look to build on their digital capabilities, Powers says, there are many facets of their business that have to be considered to ensure that their investment delivers the expected return. This can include:
- Automation and workflow considerations
- A deeper offering combining print and digital executions
- Redefining roles and responsibilities in production
- Redefining or complementing the role of sales and service
- Leveraging digital technology to meet the needs in a given market or vertical
Adding digital capability should be viewed as much more than just adding a new press or device to duplicate what is currently being done, Powers says. It should help define a new business model.
This requires:
- Developing a deeper product offering combining print and digital executions
- Leveraging digital technology to meet the needs in a given market or vertical
- Expanding into new markets
- Redefining or complementing the role of sales and service
- Leveraging Automated workflows to reduce human touchpoints
- Redefining roles and responsibilities in production
- Developing alternate workflows specific to digital production to maximize efficiencies
“Visitors attending this session will come away concepts and ideas on approaches for both external (revenue growth) and internal (efficiencies) on how to structure a business for success optimizing digital equipment,” says Powers.
