Solar Art announced it has acquired American Window Film (AWF) in Boston. While Solar Art has worked across the country to provide window film, AWF will allow Solar Art to expand more fully into the greater Boston area.
Matthew Darienzo, Solar Art CEO, said, "I’ve known Peter and the AWF team for a while. We are so happy to be part of the AWF family and what they have built and excited to see where we can take the company."
AWF specializes in 3M commercial window film and was one of the original 3M dealers in the country. They are located right outside of the Boston metropolitan area in Foxborough, Massachusetts, and have provided film for Boston, Cape Cod and the Islands, and the South Shore. With owners Peter Davey, Jim Davey, and Jim Maloof and their employees, this acquisition will allow Solar Art to expand the company’s footprint along the eastern US.
What does this mean for Solar Art's customers?
Solar Art’s acquisition of AWF represents a significant milestone for both companies and the window film industry as a whole. With the combined strengths of these two industry leaders, customers can look forward to more extensive capabilities in products and services. With offices in Orange County, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Dallas, Phoenix, Nashville, New York, and now Boston, Solar Art will now be able to provide more for our customers nationwide.
