To kick off 2018 SGIA Expo, the association is hosting an Opening Night party at TAO Las Vegas that is free to every attendee with an Expo badge. The event will run from 7 pm to 10 pm, and is a chance for everyone to connect with fellow attendees and friends.
TAO Las Vegas is located inside the Venetian hotel on the Las Vegas strip, and the party will include free drinks and finger foods. SGIA has rented out the entire space, and all 25,000-plus registered attendees are invited to attend.
“This is a pretty well-known venue, and we are pretty excited about this party,” says Lexy Olisko, VP, Expositions, SGIA. “All the different communities, customers, buyers, attendees and suppliers will be in attendance, so everyone can mingle, have drinks and listen to music.”
In addition to kicking off the 2018 event right, the party will also serve as a chance to say farewell to the SGIA Expo, and usher in the new era of PRINTING United. “It’s a goodbye and a welcome,” Olisko says. “We’re really excited to give everyone a chance to party it up and have fun with people they only see once a year.”
The food will only include light hor d’oeuvres, so attendees are encouraged to get dinner either before or after stopping by for the party. That said, the food will be provided by the TAO chefs, and all attendees will have the option of getting their hand stamped if they want to return after 10 pm for free access when the venue opens as a nightclub.
An Expo Badge is required for entry, stressed Olisko, who said that anyone without one will be turned away.
“This is one of the better-known nightclubs, so I think we’re going to get a lot of people coming to this party,” she says. “People can buy equipment during the day, and then come party with us after hours.”
