SCHAUMBURG, Ill. – November 26, 2018 — After nearly five decades of trade show success at SGIA Expo, finishing systems leader Rollem International anticipates more of the same at PRINTING United (Dallas, Texas, October 23-25, 2019).
Rollem International has been an exhibitor at SGIA for 45 years,” notes Susan Corwin, Marketing Manager. “Over that time, we have witnessed both the organization and trade show grow exponentially based on their ability to adapt to changes in the industry.”
“In Rollem’s early years at SGIA, we primarily serviced screen printers with our kiss-cutting Semi-Slitting machine for precision back slitting of PSA label and sticker products,” Corwin continues. “In fact, we logged three sales of Semi-Slitting machines at this year’s SGIA event.
This sets the stage for what Rollem International wants to accomplish at PRINTING United, a new event owned and operated by the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) in partnership with NAPCO Media. Carrying on and broadening the mission of SGIA Expo, the industry’s premier showcase for graphic and visual communications, PRINTING United will present a new perspective on profiting in segments from garment to graphic, packaging to commercial, and industrial to in-plant.
“As the SGIA Expo transforms into PRINTING United, Rollem has also expanded our portfolio into new technology which includes our award-winning Insignia die cutters,” Corwin says. “These systems open access for all types of print providers into new packaging and die cutting markets.”
Rollem’s evolving product strategy coincides with PRINTING United’s theme of convergence – the opportunities that print service providers now have to branch beyond their core businesses into new and profitable print markets.
“Within the growing sector of short-run packaging, the Insignia is the ideal companion for digitally produced items including folded cartons, tags and labels, industrial components and promotional products,” Corwin says. “Features include fast set-up, ease of operation and speeds of 4,000 sph.” Insignia, she adds, is proudly manufactured in the U.S.A.
Another factor in Rollem’s decision to support PRINTING United is the outreach it will make to brands and other customers of print service providers. This was a characteristic feature of the SGIA Expos, and it will be maintained at PRINTING United under the auspices of BRAND United, a co-located educational event aimed at customer audiences.
“Rollem has benefited from the wide cross-section of attendees at SGIA Expo in prior years, and we look forward to continuing to enjoy that advantage at PRINTING United in 2019,” Corwin declares.
