Richard Hauer Joins Graphic Arts Advisors as Director of Special Situation Practice
Richard “Rich” Hauer, an experienced financial advisor and certified turnaround professional (CTP), has joined Graphic Arts Advisors (GAA) as a director of GAA’s Special Situation practice. In his new role at GAA, Hauer will collaborate closely with John Hyde, Esq., managing director of special situations, to assist companies that face difficult situations brought on by excessive debt, revenue decline, loss of lender confidence, and other challenges.
“Rich Hauer is a highly respected professional with years of expertise working with challenged companies and has effectuated efficient and productive changes resulting in successful outcomes and transitions,” said GAA senior managing director Mark Hahn. “He has the business acumen and senior leadership background necessary to gain the confidence of owners, banks and lenders, trade suppliers, and private investors.” Hahn added, “As the industry emerges from the challenges of the pandemic, we are now confronted with supply-chain constraints, shortages of qualified labor, and most recently, inflationary pressures. As a subset of our M&A services targeted primarily to serve the healthy companies in our industry, GAA’s Special Situations practice, under John Hyde’s guidance, has helped innumerable companies navigate rough waters. Bringing Rich to the GAA team adds significant bench strength to our industry-specific Special Situations services.”
According to Hyde, “To advise and assist the stakeholders of financially challenged companies, expertise and bandwidth must be available at a moment’s notice. The addition of Rich Hauer to GAA’s team of professional advisors reinforces our commitment to providing critical and timely services in these situations. Rich brings deep expertise in corporate restructuring and management transition, as well as an ability to support GAA’s broader services focused on M&A transactions and business value assessments. Of critical importance, Rich will focus on engagements which require his CFO-level financial acumen and management capabilities, and if necessary, he will work onsite at the client’s location.”
Hauer noted, “I have known of Graphic Arts Advisors for many years and am impressed by the firm’s highly specialized focus exclusively serving the printing, packaging, and related industries. I have been committed to assisting companies with restructuring services for most of my career. I find great satisfaction in achieving positive outcomes for company owners and other interested parties. I am excited to join the GAA team and ready to jump in when and where needed in the dynamic industries served by GAA.”
Hyde summed it up, “Companies that are experiencing cash flow challenges have a myriad of options that need to be objectively evaluated and then carried out in a time frame measured in weeks or months, possibly even days, based on the urgency of the specific situation. I am pleased to welcome Rich to our team, now expanded and ready to respond to the unique needs of our industry.”
