Interviews and exit survey data confirm that attendees and sponsors of the recently concluded 2022 Wide-Format Summit place great value on the educational content and connections they made at the event, held July 25-27 in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
“As a first-time attendee, I didn't quite know what to expect,” said Dan Long, wide-format product manager of Today’s Graphics, Inc., Philadelphia, PA. “It turned out to be one of the most informative and helpful events I've ever attended. I took away extremely valuable information to plan our company's steps forward for expansion and change.”
Produced by the PRINTING United Alliance and Wide-Format Impressions, the annual Wide-Format Summit is designed to give senior managers and print executives strategic-level insights into what they must do to grow, improve, and optimize their wide-format businesses. The agenda combines presentations from industry thought leaders and leading print service providers, interactive case studies highlighting innovation from the field, and in-depth 1:1 meetings between executive attendees, sponsors, and advisory board members. Twenty-five leading vendors sponsored the event, including keynote sponsors Agfa, EFI, and HP.
“The Alliance Summits are unique events that bring together audiences with common goals and common operational challenges,” said Steve Antoni, president of CloudLab. “As a sponsor, we benefit from the hard work the organizers do to bring qualified attendees willing to share their challenges and learn from the vendors. The relaxed environment, beautiful venue, and variety of opportunities to sit down with attendees and enjoy chatting and learning are rewarding and enjoyable, and well worth the investment.”
In exit surveys, 100% of the sponsors and attendees said they were satisfied with their experience at the Summit. All of the attendees indicated they valued the information presented, with 75% rating it exceptional, and 100% also said their 1:1 meetings with sponsors were valuable in helping them with the selection of future wide-format technology solutions. Every attendee said they were likely to recommend the Wide-Format Summit to peers, and 100% of the sponsors said they were likely to recommend that their partners and other suppliers participate.
“The Wide Format Summit was an incredible event that brought together vendors and printers in a unique setting,” said Jaime Herand, VP of Graphic Operations, Orbus Company. “It was such a great opportunity to learn what is happening in the industry through panel discussions, case study sessions, quality 1:1 vendor meetings, and networking with fellow printers.”
The Wide-Format Summit will return to the PGA National Resort July 24-26, 2023, with audience recruitment beginning in January. “This was our inaugural Wide-Format Summit and one that enhanced our branding in the wide-format space,” said Marc Raad, president of Significans Automation. “We walked away with at least 14 top-notch leads, with four currently in an advanced step of the sales process. The expectations on a return-on-investment are predicted to end up at 25X return our expenses/sponsorship fees.”
