PRINTING United Product Preview

With nearly 700 exhibitors, it might be hard to decide what products demand your attention. Included in this feature are a few select highlights from the hundreds of products you’ll be able to see on the PRINTING United Expo floor.

Hardware

P5 500i
Durst (Booth N1043) is showcasing the P5 500i, with a printing width of 5.25 meters and Ricoh printheads. In addition to CMYK, four additional color channels are available. Durst also offers roll support for loading and changing media; rolls can be processed in single, dual, and triple mode — in dual mode, even asymmetrically. Double-sided printing provides exact front and back registration, increasing throughput by easing the finishing process.

Kudu
swissQprint (Booth C6415) is showcasing the Kudu, a 127.5×79.9" UV LED printer. It incorporates the latest print head technology, with an addressable resolution of up to 1,350 dpi, and shows maximum productivity of 3,229 sqft. per hour. Kudu is expandable with a roll-to-roll option (126").

RICOH Pro TF6251
The RICOH (Booth N1928) Pro TF6251 wide-format UV LED flatbed printer makes it easy to digitally produce the widest range of applications on rigid substrates up to 4.3" thick. With the new roll attachment option, PSPs can expand into flexible media, while maintaining color consistency across substrates.

imagePROGRAF GP

The imagePROGRAF GP series from Canon (Booth N1009) is the world’s first aqueous inkjet model to include fluorescent pink ink. The ink set includes fluorescent pink, green, red, orange, violet, and five other colors. The new fluorescent pink ink supports color gamut expansion for designers to replicate the colors for their business needs and branding.

Falcon XL Series
StratoJet USA (Booth C8530) is introducing the new Falcon XL Series — the Falcon XL-3300 (10’ print width, 2022 edition) and the Falcon XL-5300 (17’ print width) UV roll-to-roll printers with white ink. The series comes with a built in Mesh Kit system, which eases printing of both mesh and other roll materials. The series also has ADP Technology and a max dpi of 2,400 that will help in producing well saturated solid colors and sharp text.

Avinci CX3200 

Avinci CX3200 dye-sublimation printer

Agfa’s (Booth 8130) new Avinci CX3200 high-performance dye-sublimation system prints directly onto a wide range of polyester fabrics. At a max speed of 2,906 sqft/hr, this 3.2 m multifunction system produces soft signage and interior décor with deep rich blacks and vibrant color output with the new Avinci 101 ink set.

TrueVIS VG3 and SG3

New third-generation TrueVIS printer/cutters from Roland DGA (Booth C8930) offer greater image quality, productivity, and ease of use. VG3 models offer unsurpassed color control, efficiency, and convenience, while SG3 models are perfect for those just starting or seeking to build their businesses.

Software

Modular Automation Solutions
OneVision (Booth N2415) is showcasing its modular automation solutions. The basis of the software is a flexible workflow management system that can be connected to any other parts of the system landscape. Through the integration, incoming files pass automatically through file preparation steps. Files are then prepared for embellishment and finishing. Tools such as nesting/ganging, tiling and paneling, cut line management, bleed creation, impositioning, and more ensure a substrate-saving and efficient downstream processing.

VerteLith
Mutoh’s (Booth C10124) VerteLith RIP software is a complete ‘in the box’ print solution with 8-channel support to handle a broad range of print jobs, including multi-layer artwork requiring white and/or varnish layers. By integrating halftone screening specifically developed for inkjet, Mutoh VerteLith ‘Clear Tone’ will produce the best possible gradients and skin tones.

Consumables

HP Removable Adhesive Fabric
HP Removable Adhesive Fabric from LexJet (Booth C6407) can be mounted to indoor or outdoor surfaces without leaving a residue, and can be repositioned without losing its adhesive qualities. It can be used on multiple non-porous, smooth, and slightly textured surfaces. And now, it is also available in a version made with recycled water bottles and coating materials. It is REACH compliant, and certified fire- and slip-resistant safe for floors.

FLEXmark Promotional Advertising Films
FLEXcon (Booth N2251) FLEXmark Promotional Advertising Films are available as permanent or removable. This product line adheres well to a variety of application surfaces, and air egress liner options offer easy installation.

Magic Cling and Crystal Cling Sustainable Films
Known as IMAGin Simply Sustainable, the new product line from Mactac (Booth N1443) is PVC-free and consists of polyester (PET) and polypropylene (PP) films that meet current regulatory standards of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety and Improvement Act (CPSIA).

Hi-Stat
Nekoosa’s (Booth N773) Hi-Stat static cling vinyl wide-format rolls are backed with a new 90-lb polycoated layflat release liner for hassle-free printing across latex, eco-solvent, and UV wide-format printers.

Dusted Cast Adhesive Vinyl Film
LINTEC’s (Booth N1430) new dusted cast adhesive vinyl film is a premier dusted window film with excess of 50% more dimensional stability and improved ink adhesion. MSV-2000 is a more rigid and stable vinyl with a less aggressive adhesive that makes installation a breeze.

Mimaki LUS-120 Compatible Ink
Bordeaux (Booth C9331) is introducing Plasma LED MK120 UV LED curable inks. Designed for both flatbed and roll-to-roll, this hybrid solution designed with Bordeaux’s Mix & Match technology can be used with a variety of substrates.

ET8050 Super Sonic Backlit
ET8050 Super Sonic Backlit from Fisher Textiles (Booth C9530) is one of the industry’s only dye sub printable backlit fabrics made from 100% post-consumer recycled polyester. This soft, suede knit produces an excellent vibrancy of print, amplified when backlit. It weighs 7.7 oz per square yard, and is stocked 126" wide.

OMNI500M
OMNI500M from Que Media (Booth C4934) is a 13mil Universal PVC-free banner fabric for eco-solvent, latex, and UV printers. It is a green alternative to PVC scrim banners, and a great canvas wrap décor product.

DriveOn Graphics
DriveOn Graphics from FloorSignage (Booth C5221) is a full color print media for parking areas, driveways, and streets, durable to automobile traffic. It is slip resistant, safe, and retroreflective. It can be direct printed and no overlaminate is needed. It is compatible with UV and latex inks.
GF 830 AutoMark Cast with

DRIFT Technology
GF 830 AutoMark Cast with DRIFT Technology from General Formulations (Booth C10130) is a premium full-body gloss white cast wrap film. The DRIFT Technology and adhesive combination is engineered to provide superior repositionability and slidability. It was developed to meet the long-term demands of full or partial fleet and vehicle wraps.

Foamalux Xtra
Foamalux Xtra is Brett Martin’s (Booth C9046) environmentally friendly PVC flat sheet, manufactured from reclaimed foam PVC recovered from post-production waste. It comprises a reclaimed black core, coextruded between one or two surfaces of premium quality virgin white PVC.

EasyPSV Starling by Avery Dennison
Sister (Booth C7918) EasyPSV Starling by Avery Dennison is a pressure-sensitive adhesive vinyl that sticks to hard goods for quick decorating. EasyPSV Starling needs only application tape and pressure from a squeegee to transfer your designs.

Chalkboard Laminate
Panel Processing (Booth C5220) now offers black Chalkboard Laminate one- and two-sided panels that will accept both traditional style chalk as well as the liquid chalk pens.

MonsterTack ASLAN DFP 05
ASLAN’s (Booth C7547) MonsterTack ASLAN DFP 05 is a highly flexible, polymeric film that is suitable for bonding to rough substrates, has an outdoor durability of seven years, and can be removed from low-energy substrates and steel without leaving any residue. Due to its solvent-free adhesive structure, it can be applied from as low as -10° C. It is also classified according to the salt spray test ISO 9227:2017 and is therefore seawater resistant.

Flat Keder
Flat Keder from Keder Solutions (Booth N1413) is sewn into the edge of your printed textile graphics and allows your soft signage to lock into an aluminum or PVC frame. This is more cost-effective than silicone, with minimal stretch.

BioFlex Cotton D280
Ultraflex’s (Booth C8523) new BioFlex Cotton D280 is a woven, non-fray cotton with a water-based dispersion coating. The natural cotton material is more than 90% biodegradable in 90 days. Its higher ounce weight and canvas-like texture make it ideal for art reprographics, theatrical backdrops, and tradeshow events.

Robot PortaTable
The integrated Robot PortaTable from Zünd America (Both C5715) is an automation solution that can be moved as needed from one Zünd cutter to another. Customers benefit from movable, automated picking, stacking, sorting, and kitting capabilities as another way to improve the efficiency of their digital cutting workflow — well beyond the cut.
