PRINTING United New Product Showcase

The show floor at PRINTING United is filled with new products by the multitudes, including global product launches and North American product debuts.

Over the course of the three-day show (Oct. 23-25), visitors will have the opportunity to research what they need in order to take the next step in their company’s evolution. Included in this section are highlights of just some of the products you can expect to see on the show floor. Drytac Polar Chrome — Booth 6224

Drytac announced the global availability of Polar Chrome, a 3 mil (75 micron) reflective satin silver PET film. Thanks to its compatibility with eco-solvent, solvent, latex, and UV printing technology, and availability in rolls up to 60" wide, it is ideal for a wide variety of applications.

Durst P5 350 — Booth 7816

The P5 350 from Durst is a hybrid solution for flexible roll and board printing up to 3.5m. The multi-roll option is using a compact and robust design, offering fast media loading in two positions for single and dual rolls, and foldable roll tables. It also offers automatic detection of media width and thickness, and an intelligent multi-board.

EFI Pro 30f Flatbed Printer —Booth 8233

The EFI Pro 30f flatbed printer has a 120x79" bed, and is the first EFI printer with the ability to print on media up to 4" thick. It features four colors plus dual channels of white standard and multi-layer printing, using UltraDrop technology with variable grayscale 7-21 picoliter imaging for precision dot placement.

Fisher Textiles GF4022 Nirvana Purity Shine — Booth 8033

Fisher Textile’s GF4022 Nirvana Purity Shine is a soft signage fabric for frontlit framing systems with a glossy surface and a pigment coated white-back for complete opacity, with a built-in finished back that eliminates the need for liner. It is available up to 126" wide, weighs 9.5 oz/yd2, and is flame retardant.

Fujifilm Onset X3 HS — Booth 8220

FUJIFILM North America Corporation, Graphic Systems Division, along with strategic partner Inca Digital, is introducing the OnsetX HS (High Speed) range. Featuring two new machines, the Onset X2 HS and the Onset X3 HS, the range now prints up to 15,597 sq. ft./hr., utilizing a new single cycle mode. The OnsetX HS, combined with Uvijet OX ink, opens up a range of applications on corrugated board, packaging, and non-PVC rigid plastics.

Marabu M Revo — Booth 5021

Marabu North America is introducing the M Revo, a single-pass, semi-automatic printer designed for cylindrical objects. It features UltraJet, designed for the complete range of substrates: glass, plastics, powder coat, and stainless steel. The M Revo’s printheads require one revolution per color, providing a print speed up to 90 parts/hr.

RICOH Pro TF6250 — Booth 7001

The RICOH Pro TF6250 features one-touch automated daily maintenance and diverse substrate flexibility. It can reach production speeds up to 1,248.6 sq. ft./hr., and accommodates media up to 4.3" thick. Easy operation and automated daily maintenance keep workflows moving, helping further accelerate ROI.

Roland DGA VersaSTUDIO BT-12 — Booth 4616

The VersaSTUDIO BT-12 – Roland’s first direct-to-garment printer – can print full-color graphics, including photos, logos, and text, onto t-shirts, tote-bags, interior décor items, and more. It’s small footprint allows businesses to produce personalized products within locations where space may be limited, like retail shops, kiosks, gift shops, and special event venues.

Canon Océ Colorado 1650 Printer — Booth 7016

With FLXfinish in the Océ Colorado 1650 printer from Canon Solutions America, PSPs have a choice of matte or gloss, without the need for changing inks or media. This allows users to realize a number of benefits, including ink savings up to 50%, unattended production, the ability to produce more in less time without sacrificing quality, one machine with two finishes, and reduced rework.

Verseidag Ultra Heavy Knit 9oz — Booth 9557

Verseidag US’s Ultra Heavy Knit, UHK9TDS, is a 9-oz. fabric created for dye-sub transfer vehicles, made for manufacturers who specialize in exhibits and trade shows where more opacity is needed while maintaining stretch.

Colex Sharpcut Pro & Sharpcut Creator — Booth 8816

Colex is unveiling the Sharpcut Pro SX1732 (5.5x10.5-ft.) Flatbed Cutter and Sharpcut Creator SX1717 (67x67"). The Sharpcut Pro and Sharpcut Creator offer faster speeds, a new design, and a 4" wider and 4" longer cutting bed. They preserve the same steel welded frame, triple interchangeable tool head, energy efficient vacuum system, vision registration camera, and software, with the ability to add tools and router options.

Vycom Celtec Woodgrain — Booth 7644

Vycom Celtec Woodgrain material adds a new dimension to digitally crafted signage by enabling PSPs to offer a wood looking surface. Easily decorated using inkjet or screenprinting processes, it is more weather, impact, and insect resistant than wood, and will not warp, cup, or split. It is also lighter than wood, reducing shipping and material handling costs.

3A Composites DISPA — Booth 7227

3A Composites USA is showcasing DISPA, a sustainable printing substrate that consists of an embossed paper core laminated on both sides with bright white, smooth paper facers. DISPA provides a flat surface offering excellent printability in both digital and screenprinting applications, and is available in 48" and 60" widths. It’s easy to fabricate and can be diecut or CNC routed.

Mimaki JFX200-2513 EX — Booths 5216, 5616, 5620

Mimaki’s JFX200-2513 EX flatbed printer offers new features, such as a draft mode that enables a maximum print speed of up to 12 boards/hr., and three staggered printheads that allow for simultaneous printing when using white and clear inks. Compatible with RasterLink6 Plus software, this model also offers a 2.5D print function to create textured graphics up to 0.5 mm in height.

Mutoh XpertJet 1641SR — Booth 4404

The Mutoh XpertJet 1641SR 64" eco-solvent, single head, 4-color (CMYK) printer, is a newly designed platform with features designed to increase user-friendly operation and maintenance. Automatic bi-directional alignments, a touch panel, added LED lighting, and an upgraded media feed flange are all designed to offer a high production, high-quality printer. It is paired with Mutoh’s MS41 eco-solvent ink, which offers a larger color gamut, durability, and improved dot gain.

EnCore Half-Inch Rigid Foam Board — Booth 7231

EnCore is showcasing its half-inch rigid foam board, available in white-black-white, white, black-on-black, and white-black-black. Its polystyrene core bounces back once cut, giving a clean, uniform edge, while providing more rigidity than 3/16" thickness. The white surfaces are clay-coated, and the black-on-black surfaces are acid-free. It is now available in 60" widths, and standard sheet sizes range from 20x30" up to 60x120".

SAi FlexiDYESUB Solution — Booth 6424

SA International (SAi) is debuting the FlexiDYESUB, which aims to offer the dye-sublimation world an all-in-one package for their workflow. The solution incorporates a full printer production feature-set, as well as a complete design application, to make dye-sublimation easy for sign and display businesses.

Agfa Jeti Tauro H3300 UV LED — Booth 8242

The Agfa Jeti Tauro H3300 UV LED hybrid six-color (plus white or primer), 130" (3.3m) printer for sign and display is built to handle extreme workloads, multiple shift operation, and 24/7 printing. It is ideal for various rigid and flexible substrates, including paper, styrene, corrugated cardboard, and corrugated polypropylene.

INX INXhrc — Booth 10555

INX International Ink Co. is showcasing INXhrc natural-based water, solvent, and conventional offset inks. They are formulated to replace petrochemically derived elements with clean, renewable, and sustainable ingredients without sacrificing machine processing and performance. They contain no allergens, nanomaterials, flurochemicals, fanal pigments, heavy metals, latex, or PTFE.

Nekoosa Mojave Dry Erase Overlaminate — Booth 4121

Mojave Dry Erase Overlaminates are Nekoosa products that help enhance overall graphic depth, while protecting printed materials from UV radiation, environmental elements, and general abuse. The dry erase overlaminates provide an optically clear covering, intended to protect substrates applied to indoor surfaces.

CET Color Q5-500 3 Row Flatbed — Booth 8038

CET Color is highlighting the Q5-500, featuring three Row White-CMYK-Varnish simultaneous output. The overall productivity of this solution is raised more than 30%, which gives more alternatives for customers facing the market with growing need for speed. Better performance, strong embossing, and glossy varnish abilities contributes to fine artwork.

swissQprint Karibu — Booth 8845

Karibu from swissQprint has a number of features that make it an efficient, versatile, and reliable tool. There is a light box next to the printing area for immediate quality control of backlits, and the fully integrated Mesh Kit makes full bleed and mesh printing a clean business. The dual-roll option doubles productivity by processing two rolls parallel.

Summa L3214 — Booth 8841

Summa America’s L3214 laser cutter covers a 3.2m (10 ft., 5") width, and stands out with the on-the-fly cutting concept, which combines continuous scanning of the material with continuous cutting. This saves the operator a considerable amount of time without compromising on quality. An edge detecting de-reeler ensures a constant feed avoiding distortions in the material.

Lintec of America Protect Satin Window Graphics — Booth 5104

Digital Window Graphics with Protect Satin from Lintec of America is a matte overlaminate window graphic that designers can apply to their windows that won’t have a glossy, shiny finish.

OneVision Wide-Format Automation Suite — Booth 11553

OneVision’s Wide-Format Automation Suite is a software solution that combines a flexible workflow management system with an extensive prepress package, and technologies such as nesting, tiling & paneling, or a cut line manager. As a result, users benefit from a perfect interplay between presses and software, as well as less waste, higher throughput, and faster production times.

Onyx Graphics ONYX 19 Software — Booth 6816

Onyx Graphics Inc., is showcasing ONYX 19, the newest version release of the company’s wide-format RIP and print workflow software. The Spark Engine is a new performance platform, bringing RIP speed increases up to 400%, and printer performance increases up to 200%. DeviceLink+ is a new system of color management controls to achieve consistent color across an entire site without the need to read in new swatches or use a color measurement device.

Zimmer Austria COLARIS12-2200 Digital Inkjet Printer — Booth 9959

The Zimmer Austria’s COLARIS12-2200 digital inkjet printer for textiles, carpets, and piece goods, is a flexible system suitable for all ink classes: acid, cationic, disperse, sublimation, pigment, reactive, and VAT. Models range from compact sample machines up to 14-ft. wide. All COLARIS printers feature circulating printheads from the Fujifilm Dimatix StarFire SG1024 family.

FLEXcon HX5000 with HOV-X Technology — Booth 8024

FLEXcon is launching FLEXcon HX5000 with HOV-X technology, a slideable, repositionable, removable adhesive system for full and partial bus and train wraps, shuttle bus and box truck wraps, and bus posters where the application surface is primarily vertical. This product allows the installer (novice or professional) to remove the graphic, snap it up, and reposition it without the risk of stretching or distorting the graphic.

Foster’s Keencut M-Bench System allows users to create the bench to meet their exact needs. The modular design enables businesses to re-configure and expand work benches as needed. Squid is a self-adhesive, transparent textile for window graphics that offers a unique effect for high-end retail, hospitality, and corporate environments.
