It’s an exciting time to be a package designer. Over the past few years, color-accurate proofing and prototyping have seen a fundamental change in the way things are done. With creative capabilities expanding, and an industry-wide need to drive down costs, traditional prototyping and proofing methods have become more and more difficult to sustain. “It is time to rethink and redesign packaging innovation and development,” notes David Palmieri, Director of Strategic Accounts and Business Alliances, CGS-ORIS (Booth 11743). Palmieri is presenting “Package Design: Innovation to Creation,” Wednesday, October 23rd at 3:00 pm in Room C145.
He’ll discuss the current state of package design, and why innovation is key. “The present and future approach to packaging innovation is the complete prototype, a system that enables 3D visualization with color-accurate, hard-copy output,” says Palmieri.
