LOUISVILLE, Ken. — November 9, 2018 — N. Glantz & Son announced that Peter Ariens has been named president and COO, effective immediately. Ariens reports to Joe Hartman and Davey Glantz, who have resumed their day-to-day responsibilities, jointly serving as co-chairman/CEO.
“We simply could not be more excited to welcome Pete to our family,” Hartman and Glantz said. “Pete is a seasoned leader who has a proven track record of delivering results while running a family distribution business for over two decades. We have tremendous confidence in his operational ability and strategic vision for the future of Glantz. Pete will help realize our company’s greatest ambitions while strengthening the strong family culture first instilled by Nathan Glantz in 1906.”
“I am very excited to be a part of N. Glantz & Son — a true family business success story. Glantz is a dynamic company with boundless opportunity and potential in an evolving industry. I look forward to growing the organization and taking it to new heights with Joe, Davey, and the talented team at Glantz,” says Ariens.
After stepping away from their day-to-day roles in 2015, Hartman and Glantz are today returning to lead the company. “We can say unequivocally that there is nothing more important to us than this family, the company and our entire team. For that reason, we are jumping back in to ensure Glantz holds its rightful place as an industry leader. We know that with the addition of Pete to our team, Glantz will be stronger and better than ever before,” they said.
Ariens previously served as president of Stens Corporation, a global supplier of replacement parts for the outdoor power equipment and industrial industries, where he worked for more than 20 years. He earned a B.S. degree in business management from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota as well as an M.B.A. from Benedictine University.
