Memorabilia Company Uses Retractable Banners to Build Trade Show Traffic
Acme Trading Company of Winder, GA specializes in meticulously detailed replicas of automobiles and collectibles, along with scale models of automobiles, cars, boats, Fender guitars and World War II military aircraft. All of Acme’s offerings are based on exhaustive research and development and rigidly controlled manufacturing.
When the company participated in a trade show in Germany, it turned to Engaging Signs and Graphics of Morrisville, NC, to create colorful retractable vinyl banners for its booth.
“This trade show was extremely important to Acme Die Cast, and the banners had to reflect the exceptional quality that the company is well-known for,” says Kevin Kitts, Founder of Engaging Signs and Graphics. “We used Bantex (Booth 1892) for the banners, and the results were exactly what the client wanted. They loved the banners we created by using a premium vinyl material like Bantex.”
According to Jeff Stalling, National Sales Manager with Acme Trade Company, the banners worked well for the company during its trade show, supporting brand identity and drawing customers into the booth. The banners used dramatic black backgrounds with color pops illustrating the company’s broad product line. Because of the company’s emphasis on quality and meticulous replicas, color and image clarity were essential.
“As a manufacturer and distributor of other product lines, the banners were instrumental in quickly conveying both our brands and the brands we distribute,” Stalling says. “The banners drew event attendees to initiate conversations with what they saw, which made it easier to turn these conversations into orders.”
Retractable banners are growing in popularity for a broad range of uses, including trade shows, point-of-sale and special events. Brand and sales managers enjoy the flexibility and portability of retractable banners, which demand premium materials.
“Retractable banners require a product that is durable and that can assure curl-free performance after repeated and extended use,” says Dan Dix, Business Manager of product development and innovation for Bantex Digital Media. “A retractable banner that doesn’t have the color and image pop or that has curling issues can diminish a brand’s position in the eyes of customers.”
When Kitts founded Engaging Signs and Graphics his goal was to create a company with a broad array of solutions for helping customers bring their corporate visions to life.
“A sign or a banner is the hallmark for a company, and it’s our mission to help our customers represent their businesses in the best possible way,” Kitts says, whose background includes executive management positions in the communications industry. “We always want to be cost competitive, but our focus is on the customer experience in offering better quality solutions along with speed of service.”
Within its arsenal of signage solutions, Engaging Signs and Graphics includes Bantex Digital Media for premier vinyl banners. The company uses Bantex Curl Free 13oz Two Sided and Bantex Curl Free 10oz Blackback for its customers, who demand the highest quality of banners, including banner stands and free-hanging banners.
In addition to the color and print quality achieved with Bantex, Kitts and his team at Engaging Signs and Graphics also enjoy the print efficiency they achieve using Bantex and its HP (Booths 1147 and 1161) latex printer.
“Bantex runs superbly on our HP printer,” he says. “It’s a great product to work with and runs smoothly all the time. The overall quality of the material, the suppleness of the banners, the colors and image clarity — our customers feel they get what they pay for when they order banners printed on Bantex.”
