Orange, Calif.-based MarsUno Creative started with just one single FreeJet 330TX DTG printer, and has grown to more than 10 FreeJet printers, plus one Cheetah Industrial direct-to-garment (DTG) printer from Omniprint International (Booth 2210). In just five years, this agency has multiplied production to more than 20,000 shirts per month using DTG.
“DTG printing has been a great solution for us. The printers allow us to offer drop-shipping fulfillment for a variety of clients ranging from clothing brands and retail stores, to models, and even walk-in traffic who want on-offs,” says Manager Travis Lefebre. “DTG has empowered us to grow with the on-demand abilities and the fast production time compared to screen printing or vinyl.”
The “retail-ready” quality of OmniPrint’s DTG print technology has been a major key to the success of MarsUno Creative. Bringing value to the customer with “retail-ready” printed garments is especially crucial in an environment where printed garments need to stand out from the rest.
“The type of quality we are producing not only scaled our own business, but also allowed us to be able to work with clients that are looking to do the same for their brands,” says Lefebre. “With the FreeJet and Cheetah printers, we were able to really dial in the color profiles to produce high-quality prints on a wide variety of garments so that our clients can resell with confidence in a retail or e-commerce environment.”
MarsUno Creative could have easily started to outsource, but it was the “retail-ready” quality from the printers that was keeping the business, their customers, and their retailers happy.
“DTG printing — and working with a company that can do it well — can really be a turn-key solution for people trying to break into the market,” says Lefebre. “Customers can come to us with an idea, and we can take that to get them up and running in the market.”
