STOW, Ohio — March 1, 2019 — Mactac has been named a recipient of the 2019 Evolution of Manufacturing Award from Smart Business. The award recognizes Northern Ohio manufacturers and technology companies that have adapted to a global economy through improved operations, products or services.
Headquartered in Stow, Ohio, Mactac manufactures and distributes pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) materials that are used in a wide range of markets and industries across the globe, such as label printing, graphic design, packaging, digital imaging, retail display, fleet graphics, automotive assembly, medical device assembly, assembly engineering and more.

Mactac was nominated to receive the award by long-time customer, Omni Systems, Inc. As part of the award selection criteria, information was provided on the evolution of Mactac’s manufacturing operations, the impact of its manufacturing operations on product growth and development and more.
The nomination spoke to Mactac’s cutting-edge, custom-designed adhesive, CHILL AT. Mactac’s highly advanced adhesive mixing and melting technology enhancements paved the way for the development of one of the most revolutionary adhesives in the history of Mactac’s Roll Label business. CHILL AT is an all-temperature adhesive designed for the food packaging market that features an extremely wide service range of -65° to 150°F with a unique ability to stick to cold, wet surfaces.
Mactac was recognized for the honor at the 2019 Evolution of Manufacturing Conference on Feb. 21, 2019, in Cleveland. The award was presented by Alliance Industrial Solutions.
