Inkjet direct-to-object technology has changed in recent years and Craig Reid, Founder and President of CTR Resources, will explain the changes and the effects they have on business in the industry. The session, “Inkjet Direct-to-Object Technology,” is today at 9 am in room N119.
Reid will present the different options available in the industry, compare them and help attendees understand which options fit their businesses. He’ll also look to evaluate the challenges for businesses and introduce ways for them to adapt and work through those challenges. His main aim is to introduce attendees to the new possibilities presented by direct-to-object inkjet and show how those can help make a business more profitable.
“This session will touch on what is now possible in direct-to-shape inkjet as a growth and market changing opportunity, along with the expected impact in key applications such as packaging, decoration and industrial products,” Reid says.
Reid believes that the changes in recent technology presents many new opportunities for businesses to get into the field or expand their capabilities into adjacent markets as the market continues to converge.
“Recent technology and system design improvements in inkjet have enabled inkjet direct-to-shape and direct-to-object to evolve from mere novelty to proven full production in just the past few years,” Reid says. “The chemistry, image quality, production speeds, software and integrated system engineering have finally all come together to develop realistic solutions for metal, glass, plastics and paper decoration.”
The session will focus on showing how the technological changes have opened the industry up to allow companies to enter and get a strong return on their investment.
