Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems (Kongsberg PCS) enjoyed a hugely successful PRINTING United expo, surpassing double-figure total sales across the three days - and selling one of the four powerful tables at the heart of its display within minutes of the event opening.
“This was our largest ever presence at PRINTING United, and selling a Kongsberg X24 inside the first hour of the doors opening really set the standard for the rest of the event,” said Matt Thackray, Vice President and GM Americas, Kongsberg PCS. “We know it’s easily the most versatile digital finishing device on the market, and the range of innovative tooling delivers greater freedom in design and creativity, so we put it through its paces on our 4,000ft2 mega booth. The combination of superior quality and range of specialty tools impressed the crowds, delivering the speed, power and flexibility that it’s known for - and securing our first sale of the show within minutes,” he said.
From October 18-20, the Kongsberg PCS team highlighted the power, performance and versatility of its Kongsberg and MultiCam solutions at the event in Atlanta, Georgia, while also showcasing how advances in state-of-the-art automation have streamlined the entire workflow. As well as its modular Kongsberg X24 table, the world’s first diversified provider of digital finishing and CNC cutting machines used the expo to demonstrate the capabilities of its flagship Kongsberg C64 system, the versatile MultiCam Apex1R router and the impressive Apex3R CNC solution.
“We had live demos running throughout the event, creating cut samples that visitors could take away with them,” said Matt. “Visitors to our stand loved the designs that we brought to life, taking away souvenirs including a pickleball kit and Halloween candy box. Luckily, the speed of the tables meant we could keep up with the demand while also highlighting the precision and quality of the finish.”
The Kongsberg PCS team was running live demos of all four machines throughout each of the event’s three days. The success of these demos, and the impressive performance of the digital finishing and CNC cutting tables, led to sales hitting double figures before the end of the expo.
“We were privileged to showcase so many of our market-leading machines this year, demonstrating how we have continued to evolve our hardware and software solutions,” added Matt. “With manufacturers and converters under increasing pressure to produce faster, safer, and more efficiently to meet the demands of the global market, these advances in technology not only simplify and improve the quality of the finished products but also improve overall productivity and throughput,” he said.
“We’re thrilled that this year’s PRINTING United was such a success, and we’re already looking forward to the next event on the calendar.”
