Kavalan has partnered with Seattle-based SuperGraphics to deliver PVC-free solutions to the U.S. market. A new video case study showcases Kavalan’s contribution to SuperGraphics’ EcoFormat, an initiative that is focused on building a more sustainable future for North American print.
SuperGraphics is a large-format print business with expertise in retail, hospitality, events graphics and much more. President Reid Baker highlights his commitment to driving much needed change in the industry, commenting: “Through EcoFormat, we've sourced a range of environmentally friendly print materials and use in combination with our Durst presses, we've created sustainable practices and services.”
The Kavalan Eco Calculator, an invaluable proprietary tool designed to calculate the true environmental impact savings delivered by Kavalan products, is already proving to be a crucial resource for SuperGraphics customers. “When we saw the actual impact and the numbers of the toxicity reduced, and the CO2 reduced and the water usage reduced just in this banner by using the PVC-free materials, we were pretty shocked. It was really exciting to know that just one banner can make such an impact,” comments Future Arts Creative Director Julia Bruk.
Vincent Lin, VP of Kavalan’s parent company TAYA Groups, comments: “The tide is turning in the US market, and print customers are keen to work with partners that share their environmental awareness and take their responsibility seriously. SuperGraphics are leading the charge when it comes to print sustainability in the region, and we couldn’t be prouder to be by their side on this journey.”
