Boasting one of the 2018 SGIA Products of the Year, the Agfa booth (1460) has a variety of products on display, spanning the latest in wide format equipment and workflow software.
On center stage, the Jeti Tauro H3300 LED is making its trade show debut, after winning the Product of the Year distinction in the roll-to-roll UV (over 80 inches category). According to Bill Brouhle of Agfa, the hybrid LED press is representative of the “Extreme Productivity and Extreme Quality” theme Agfa is bringing to SGIA Expo. Part of what makes the Jeti Tauro H3300 LED stand out, he said, is how it can be configured in a variety of ways.
For example, the press can be configured in a manual setup, in which input and output tables provide single or multiple board feeding capability. The master roll-to-roll configuration allows for single or dual master roll printing. The semi-automation configuration features an automated unloader, which stacks printed boards on a pallet. Finally, the full automation configuration picks up and places boards onto the media registration table. After the boards are printed, they are then stacked on a pallet.
Part of what makes the six-color press stand out is its usage of light black ink, which provides better tonal reproduction and gray balance, Brouhle said. Additionally, he explained, the thin ink laydown provides strong image quality while using less ink.
Another Agfa booth highlight is Asanti 4.0 workflow software. The software provides an automated workflow system, which can power the Agfa printers on display in the booth, as well as devices from other providers.
