For those looking to digitize their embroidery services, Frank Gawronski, a Consultant from Embroidery Educational Services International, will be giving an introductory presentation on the subject. The session is today at 1:30 pm in room N116.
It focuses on people looking to start changes in their digitizing process. “This presentation will be geared toward those interested in learning more about the process, those who want to get into digitizing as well as those newbies who may be struggling with their digitizing,” Gawronski says.
He will teach attendees about the process of digitizing embroidery stitches. By learning this process, attendees can edit designs to correct wrong copy and improve their run-ability. Learning this skill and adding digitizing to an embroidery business can reduce mistakes and help maintain the high level of the final product.
“Today’s marketplace seems to demand fast, cheap and automated,” Gawronski says. “Although we have ‘Auto’ Digitizing tools today, in an attempt to meet those goals, these tools are still only a means to an end and not the end in themselves. Learn what it really takes to make a design run with very few thread breaks.”
He believes that learning how to digitize embroidery can cut out a lot of wasted time and material for a business, which can help it prosper.
“Simply ‘Time is money’ and ‘Lost time is lost money,’” Gawronski says. “A bad design will cost you more than you save from cheap designs in damaged garments, lost production and ultimately disgruntled and lost customers.”
