Innovative Displays began serving the movie set and special event business from its Mississauga, Ontario, production plant in 2018. Today, it can print on almost every substrate and specializes in POS/POP displays, digital signage, vehicle wraps, building graphics, and custom fabrications for shows, such as Star Trek, Disney Studios, McDonald’s, Best Buy, Pepsi, Kraft, and Nestle. One key to its success has been an ongoing collaboration with Agfa (Booth C8130).
“Innovative Displays chose Agfa as a partner because they’re local, the print quality is exceptional, and they have great customer service and support,” says Brad Stuckless, Innovative Displays’ director of operations. “We now have Agfa’s Jeti Mira MG 2732 wide-format flatbed printer, Jeti Tauro H3300 LED inkjet, and Jeti Tauro H2500 … and welcome the Avinci CX3200 to our Agfa family of printers. The print quality, rich colors, and speed of the Avinci stood out to us,” Stuckless added. “Plus, the installation was very smooth and was completed in two days. Our current press operators needed just two days of training on the printer and the software.”
The dye-sublimation, roll-to-roll Avinci CX3200 printer easily handles multi-shift workloads, and prints directly to textiles or onto transfer papers, delivering consistently vibrant print quality on a wide range of polyester-based fabrics including sportwear, fashion, and home décor up to 3.2 meters wide at speeds up to 2,906 sqft/hr (270 sqm/hr). It uses eco-safe, odorless, water-based, low consumption, dye-sub inks, known for their outdoor resistance.
