During PRINTING United, VCE Solutions president Vince Cahill presented “Hybrid Screen-Inkjet Garment Printers: An Overview.” Along with the overview, the discussion focused on how hybrid screen-inkjet printing can be integrated into an existing business.
Cahill offered solutions for attendees in the audience, regardless of their business’ size, capabilities, budget, and client expectations. Leveraging his expertise in the field, he advised attendees which printing heads are the most cost-effective and how to prolong their life through proper cleaning.
“You’ve got to look at all aspects of your expense, and the printhead is one of them,” said Cahill.
Technology like ink head circulation assists with unclogging nozzles after periods of not being used.
The flexibility hybrid printing provides is what makes it so appealing to printers, Cahill noted, and because of this, the “race is on” between hybrid and inkjet printers.
