Colors are an important part of any brand, so reproducing them correctly is a crucial part of commercial printing. The 2018 SGIA Expo will have a session discussing how brand colors are reproduced on wide-format and inkjet solutions. Peter Pretzer, ColorPath Solutions Development Manager at Fujifilm (Booth 1119), will lead the presentation today at 10:30 am in room N114.
The session will give an overview of how brand colors are reproduced and the techniques used to get the best results to attendees. It will then touch on the standards that are considered acceptable in the industry in this day and age, before going into how to know what the best possible color match is. Throughout the presentation there will be interaction to explain what is acceptable specifically to some of the attendees.
In the overview, Pretzer will discuss tools, techniques and software used to reproduce brand colors. These will stretch from older, more traditional methods to the new cutting-edge stuff. It will give an idea of the best ways to reproduce the color, how they have changes overtime and what is still useful in color reproduction.
When discussing the acceptable standards, they will show examples of what is acceptable and they will explain some techniques to help attendees achieve those acceptable standards. Finally, it will discuss how to identify the perfect color match and how to validate it.
