Garment Decoration Customization at the Speed of Now
GroupeSTAHL (Booth 1615), a leading international manufacturer, distributor and direct supplier in the field of custom textile printing, is showing off its garment personalization expertise to great effect at the 2018 SGIA Expo, focusing on how heat print technology is a clean and easy way to produce on-trend garment decoration that brings “unlimited possibilities, with unbelievable results,” said Carleen Gray, CEO for GroupeSTAHL North America.
One new product on display at the company’s booth is FlexStyle emblems, a premium and lightweight alternative to embroidery that comes in a variety of styles and adds a luxury look to high-end product lines.
Also new at the show, the Hotronix now comes with a heated lower platen, which allows the temperature of the top platen to be decreased, eliminating the press box and scorch marks on heat-sensitive fabrics. The new platen replaces the need for printing pads, pillows and preheating garments, increasing productivity by reducing application time.
To block dye migration on sublimated sports jerseys, Stahls’ has introduced the CAD-CUT Silicone Dye-Block, a cuttable vinyl solution. This silicone-based material has a low temperature application to reduce scorching and features excellent stretch and rebound. Stahls’ is also introducing a new calendered pressure-sensitive vinyl called CAD-CUT Permanent P.S. Sign Vinyl. It’s a cost-effective solution for creating decals, point-of-purchase displays, banners and signs.
Beyond new products, the company also announced that in February 2019 Stahls’ will also be expanding service to the West Coast, with the Transfer Express division expanding into a facility in Chandler, AZ. The building, currently occupied by STAHLS’ Arizona for 10 years, is one of seven facilities that provides apparel decoration for high-profile brands, major retailers and professional sports leagues.
“This is an exciting time to be in apparel technology,” Gray said. “And there is no better time to be in heat printing. It is something everyone can profit from.” Gray invited everyone attending the Expo to stop by the booth to see the heat printing technology in action and experience instant personalization, with T-shirts created and printed on demand, a perfect keepsake from this year’s 2018 SGIA Expo.
