From The Editor: New Captain, New Course
I'm thrilled to announce an exciting new chapter for Wide-format Impressions. While I will continue to be an integral part of this journey, my role is evolving significantly to better support our publications and the team of editors and contributors behind them.
Since launching this publication in July 2018, it's been an incredible six years, but now it's time for me to step back from the daily editorial duties. Fear not — I will remain deeply engaged as we strive to maintain the high standards and in-depth reporting you expect from our brand.
Dan Marx, a true standout in our field with a stellar track record, is taking over as content director. He brings fresh, innovative ideas to the table. I have complete faith in Dan's ability to enhance our legacy and blaze exciting new trails.
In my role as editorial director, I will oversee our entire portfolio of publications. This position will allow me to work more closely with our talented editorial team, and to devise strong strategies to further elevate our performance across all titles.
Starting as a modest print magazine, we have expanded into a multimedia powerhouse — spanning digital, social, video, and podcasts — thanks to your support. However, with fierce competition and skyrocketing reader expectations, we must keep pushing forward, embracing new technologies, visual storytelling, and novel platforms to maintain our competitive edge and deliver unmatched value and insights.
Dan is ideally suited to lead these efforts at Wide-format Impressions. He understands the need for continuous innovation and creativity while maintaining our commitment to accuracy, depth, and objectivity.
I'm excited to take on a broader role, shaping the overall direction and strategy across all our brands. Our team is incredibly skilled and diverse, and I aim to elevate our content by blending their rich experience and reputation with the dynamism of our emerging talents.
We're fully committed to the future of print and digital media, uniting under a shared vision. With Dan steering Wide-format Impressions and my role ensuring cohesive progress, we are poised for an even more impactful future.
This begins a new chapter in delivering exceptional stories and analyses that uniquely resonate with you, our audience. I'm eager to continue this journey with all of you.
