FDC Graphic Films, Inc. announced it has completed its acquisition of Eastex Products, LLC. This acquisition brings together leaders in the sign and textile industries to provide a broad range of high-quality customer solutions.
FDC, founded in 1988 near Chicago, is one of the sign-making industry’s leading converters and distributors of graphic film products. FDC relocated its headquarters to South Bend, IN in 1995.
Eastex, founded in 1996, is an international leader in custom textile solution development and distribution with a key focus in the healthcare industry. Eastex is headquartered in Plymouth, MA.
“This acquisition provides business diversification and new market opportunities for both companies,” said Judith Eck, Founder/CEO, FDC. “Key synergies include FDC’s exceptional converting capabilities; multiple geographically dispersed warehouses; Eastex’s innovative, extensive supply chain; and proven operational excellence from both companies. FDC’s strength in marketing and sales will help Eastex significantly grow its market share.”
Twenty-five years ago, Eastex Marketing Co. started in a third-floor apartment just outside of Boston acting as sales reps for textile manufacturers and fabric converters in the United States. John Kimball, Eastex, founder/VP said, “Since then, we have become Eastex Products, Inc., an international leader in textile development and distribution. Our growth has been strong and steady with an emphasis on innovative high-quality performance textiles, competitive pricing, and strong customer service.”
“We are excited about the future with FDC,” continued Kimball. “We believe that FDC can help propel Eastex to a new level of unmatched solutions to serve our customers’ needs. FDC's strong leadership team and extensive resources will enable Eastex to take on new challenges in textile development, expand our footprint in the market, and enhance our converting processes.”
Eric Hill, founder/president, said, “Our mission from the start of Eastex was to supply innovative technical solutions, sourced globally, and delivered to multiple industries with an emphasis on healthcare. It has always been my priority to create close customer relationships and work with them on standard commodity products as well as custom products. With the acquisition by FDC, we look forward to the next chapter of growth and success and are very excited about future offerings for our customers.”
“FDC is excited and honored to join up with Eastex,” said Eck. “This will be a true partnership of two successful companies with similar cultures coming together to do great things. The future is bright.”
