Plum Grove has been in business for over forty years. Several years ago, Plum Grove bought a smaller wide-format company called Tradeshows and Displays which did very traditional wide-format signage. In 2020, Plum Grove had a four million dollar expansion of the company and moved from a smaller ten thousand square foot facility to a now forty thousand square foot facility.
I joined Plum Grove after the expansion to manage production and operations. I am growing our wide-format department from traditional signage to providing graphic experiences for events, tradeshows, corporate interiors, POP displays, and any other type of graphic wide-format can provide.
WFI: What motivated you to attend the Expo this year?
Ewing: I try to attend the Expo every year, even if there is not a main focus. I look forward to reconnecting and connecting with others in the industry. I also prefer to stay up to date on the newest technology and products available across the industry.
WFI: If you're returning, what brings you back?
Ewing: The connections and relationships you build, again, is what really keeps me as an annual attendee.
WFI: Which products, brands, or services are you most looking forward to seeing at the Expo?
Ewing: This year, I am looking at 3M and EFI, in particular. I’m looking to possibly upgrade our flatbed and am comparing the new Durst to the EFI Vutek series.
WFI: How do you plan to maximize your time at the Expo?
Ewing: Every year, I download the app and print a large map of the hall. I then plan out everything from my meetings and lunch to how I will walk through the aisles each day to get the most time to address things and free up any time for new products and vendors.
WFI: How do you think attending the Expo will impact your business or career?
Ewing: I am hoping to generate some buzz about Plum Grove.
