WFI: Can you give us a brief history or description of your company?
Powell: My husband and I started this company in 2011 during a challenging economy, when we were only married for four years with two young sons. We started out with curb painting beach scenes in Huntington Beach. We knew we had to find a way to develop a tangible good to sell and ship across the country as we were getting orders from many locales. So, we developed the Curb Wrap, the one and only original peel and stick curb address decal. Since that, we’ve developed many other signs for homes and organizations alike, expanding our business across diverse market horizontals. We are proud of our online presence on Amazon, Etsy, Walmart, to have a 5-star rating on Google, and to supply to our customers and businesses across the country. We are a family company, veteran-owned, woman-owned, and minority-owned and all our products are made in the USA.
WFI: What motivated you to attend the Expo this year?
Powell: I get excited to see what new offerings there are in print materials, print media, and printing machinery and to network with vendors we have worked with. We get incredible inspiration from this event.
WFI: If you’re a first-time attendee, what are you hoping to learn? If you're returning, what brings you back?
Powell: As a returning guest, I get excited about seeing the advances in the printing medium. Our customers expect us to have the latest and greatest offerings, and part of our innovation is driven by the innovation from our supplier network. We are looking for the latest trends as we are ourselves are trendsetters.
WFI: Which products, brands, or services are you most looking forward to seeing at the Expo?
Powell: I’m excited to see the flatbed printers, the textile print options, the newest inks, and just the latest in the technology in general. I’m not coming with any particular expectation, just an openness to learn and absorb.
WFI: How do you plan to maximize your time at the Expo?
Powell: We plan to come early, systematically visit the aisles and stay to the end. We have set appointments with existing partners. We like to look at the list of exhibitors and map out our route.
WFI: How do you think attending the Expo will impact your business or career?
Powell: We will hopefully leave with new ideas to implement, vendors to partner with, and the latest technology and processes to enhance our business.
