Visual Marking Systems (VMS), a third-generation, family-owned leader in custom-printed product identification decals and fleet graphics, is pleased to announce Eric Kahle as the company’s new President.
Founded in 1962, VMS specializes in high-quality product identification solutions, including OEM nameplates, decals, fleet graphics, and branded apparel, and has earned a strong reputation for transforming product identification and branding across various industries. Eric’s appointment reflects VMS’s continued growth and commitment to providing innovative solutions for OEMs, corporate fleets, and a wide range of industries.
This leadership transition is part of a strategic 10-year succession plan developed by Eric and his father, Dolf Kahle, CEO of VMS. Eric's journey with VMS began in 2008 operating the power floor washer while still in high school. After earning a Business Management/Finance degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology, Eric gained valuable experience at Bausch and Lomb and Howlett Farms before returning to VMS in 2017. Over the past several years, Eric has completed a comprehensive management training program, gaining expertise in accounting, estimating, production control, operations management, and sales. Most recently, he served as Chief Revenue Officer, where he played a critical role in driving expansion and leading revenue strategies.
Eric is an active and influential leader in the printing industry, serving on the Printing United Alliance Board of Directors and holding sub-committee positions on the Professional Decal Applicators Association Steering Committee and the Leadership Summit Advisory Board. Through these roles, he has contributed to advancing industry standards, fostering collaboration, and promoting innovation within the sector, reflecting his dedication not only to the success of VMS but also to the broader printing community.
As President, Eric will focus on continuing VMS’s growth, innovation, and operational excellence. Dolf Kahle will remain in his role as CEO, providing leadership and guidance during this transition. “Eric has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a deep understanding of what it takes to drive VMS forward,” said Dolf Kahle. “His vision and dedication make him the right person to lead us into this next chapter. As we continue to grow, I’m confident that Eric will build on our family’s legacy while embracing new opportunities to strengthen our business and serve our customers.”
“I’m honored to take on the role of President of Visual Marking Systems,” said Eric Kahle. “My focus will be on driving strategic initiatives that position VMS for long-term success. I’m excited to work alongside our talented team to innovate, expand our offerings, and deliver even more value to our customers. At the same time, I’m committed to upholding the strong family legacy of hard work, innovation, and excellence that has defined VMS for the past 63 years.”
