EFI hosted a press conference on opening day of PRINTING United Expo, being held this week in Atlanta, Georgia, where they highlighted the incredible breadth of technology solutions the company offers for many different applications and markets.
In particular, Ken Hanulec, EFI’s vice president of worldwide marketing, noted that single-pass technology is what he believes is the future of high-speed printing. "We have been offering single-pass printing since 2005, and we are innovators in the high-speed, single-pass inkjet printing market."
He continued, "You can print almost anything with single-pass, and it is the Holy Grail of technology as a company gets larger. There will always be opportunities for shuttle-based printing, but companies will pivot to single-pass when they reach higher volumes." And while EFI doesn't have the new Nozomi 14000 SD single-pass press in it's booth, there are video demonstrations, as well as samples on display.
The presses the company does have in the booth include the VUTEk Q3r roll-to-roll printer, VUTEk FabriVU 340i dye-sublimation printer; VUTEk h5 hybrid roll/flatbed printer; and Pro 30h flatbed/roll LED press. The company also has its range of software solutions - including the award-winning Fiery - available for attendees to get a closer look.
"We love PRINTING United Alliance and the Expo," Hanulec said. "We have wonderful solutions, and we're delighted to be with so many others on the show floor."
