Two of Durst’s wide-format offerings made their North American debuts at PRINTING United.
Larry D’Amico, Durst’s sales director for North America, highlighted the P5 350, which is the company’s first hybrid product in a 3.5m format. He detailed how the P5 350’s multi-roll option allows for a dual roll configuration in which printers can set up media for a subsequent job while the preceding job is being completed. Then D’Amico touted the capabilities of the Durst Rho 2500, a modular wide-format printer also debuted. The Rho 2500 can produce 1 million sqft per month. Producing this type of output, he said, requires a reliable piece of equipment.“There’s not a lot of downtime and maintenance,” D’Amico said. “That’s where we excel.”
Available with three different head configurations, the modularity of the Rho 2500 allows printers to obtain a high-end product at a lower price point. Because of this printers can upgrade it as they see fit.
