Versatile and Trusted
Made of high-density polyethylene fibres (HDPE), Tyvek is 100% recyclable*. It forms a tough printing substrate that offers high durability and tear resistance and can withstand repeated folding and flexing without tearing. Tyvek can also be glued, laminated, sewn, stapled, and fixed. Its unique qualities mean Tyvek repels water, has excellent rot and mildew resistance, and resists soiling and staining so your message remains perfectly intact, even outdoors. This resistance to damage further reduces environmental impacts because there is no need to apply additional protective coatings, and Tyvek-based products have trusted durability. Since 2022, Tyvek is also made with renewable electricity. DuPont achieved this milestone by purchasing renewable energy credits (RECs) and guarantees of origin (GOs) to match the energy consumed in its operations and is committed to additional purchases annually. This underscores the company’s commitment to Acting on Climate.
Improved Manufacturing
To meet growing demand for Tyvek, DuPont is making a significant investment in a new manufacturing facility in Luxemburg that will ensure it has the capacity to support customers well into the future. This new Tyvek line will feature the premier, leading-edge flash spinning technology practiced only by DuPont, that allows Tyvek to be produced to the highest quality. This investment will also drive Tyvek innovations focused on achieving even greater energy efficiency and functional characteristics to meet emerging market needs.
Forward Together
Customers opting to use DuPont Tyvek for their creative projects also benefit from the Tyvek Forward Together commitment, under which DuPont promises to help its customers by applying its insights and intelligence to tackle global challenges, without compromising on quality, safety, or performance. This pledge means that DuPont will innovate alongside the users of Tyvek to tackle the challenges they face and exceed the goals they set based on true collaboration.
