Duplo Explains Why It’s Eager to “Converge” upon the PRINTING United Event
SANTA ANA, Calif. — August 27, 2018 — Duplo USA has found the “one giant show” where it can spotlight its portfolio of finishing solutions in front of all the audiences its wants to attract: PRINTING United (Dallas, Texas, October 23-25, 2019).
Si Nguyen, Vice President of Sales at Duplo USA, says that the scope of the show and the unique venue it provides were behind Duplo’s decision to join PRINTING United’s growing list of exhibitors.
“We’re proud to be exhibiting at PRINTING UNITED in 2019, where all the print communities from the different segments will come together for one giant show,” Nguyen says. “We look forward to showcasing Duplo’s finishing solutions to print providers looking to cross over into new market opportunities.”
Crossing over into new market opportunities is a good way to describe convergence: the trend of print service providers expanding beyond their core businesses into adjacent applications that promise fresh streams of revenue and profit. Just-released research from PRINTING United co-sponsors SGIA (Specialty Graphic Imaging Association) and NAPCO Media reveals that convergence is an industrywide phenomenon – and that the time is ripe for a trade show with convergence as its drawing-card.
Duplo has recognized the trend and adapted its product strategy accordingly, Nguyen points out.
“Duplo’s own technologies have been in convergence,” he says. “We led the way for some of the traditional print finishing solutions and as the industry changed, we made the change ourselves to provide new print finishing technologies for the digital print market as it can be seen today.”

PRINTING United, a new event 100% owned by SGIA, will launch in Dallas, Texas, October 23-25, 2019.
