Duggal Visual Solutions, headquartered in Brooklyn, New York, has been in the wide-format game since the early 1990s, which CEO Michael Duggal says has primed it for continued success.
“One of our advantages is the sheer volume of wide-format printing capability we have, with over 35 cutting-edge, wide-format presses,” Duggal says. “There are many projects that we can handle in timelines and at quality levels that other companies with smaller wide-format capabilities are unable to handle. We’ve been growing significantly each year since the pandemic. I think our reputation, service, technological leadership, and our scale have allowed us to continue to grow at a rate surpassing the industry as a whole.”
Duggal notes that the company serves a variety of industries, creating visuals designed for in-store, in-facility, and outdoor use. Across all its applications, delivering high-quality work is paramount.
“Our differentiator is that we’re known for our quality and service,” he says. “We’re not just a ‘price per square foot’ company — what we’re trying to do is provide greater value.”
Aside from wide-format printing, the company offers a range of services in its efforts to be a full-service provider. These include everything from sheetfed printing, display fabrication, and digital signage installation, to creative design and content creation.
While Duggal Visual Solutions offers a diverse portfolio, Duggal says wide-format printing isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
“Wide format remains incredibly relevant because a well-crafted print display can capture your attention and convey a message in less than a second, whether someone wanted to take in that message or not,” he explains. “… Even with the encroachment of digital signage, there are some things, in terms of messaging, that are conveyed more quickly and clearly by a well-crafted print than they are by a video loop, where someone might have to watch the full 30 seconds to get the gist of the point.”
Duggal adds that the digital nature of wide-format printing is an advantage that will keep it relevant.
“Quantity runs are lower than they used to be, so wide format is a viable solution for a lot of these shorter runs that used to be done through other processes — offset or screen, etc.,” he says. “… A lot of those runs have gotten small enough or diverse enough where they’re doing lots of different versions that wide format becomes a better option.”
Going into the new year, Duggal expects the company to continue its track record of growth.
“Duggal typically grows over 10% each year, and we do not expect 2025 to be an exception,” he says. “We see strong growth amongst our different customer bases, and are excited for the year ahead.”
