Providing print services, integrated business solutions, and a full-service creative agency, DCG ONE of Seattle is one of the largest privately-held marketing service providers on the West Coast. With more than 300 employees and 150 pieces of modern production equipment, DCG ONE recently expanded its growing footprint with the addition of a 25,000-square-foot building dedicated to the company’s wide-format printing services, including production, packaging, 3D design, packing, and shipping.
Wanting to incorporate unique aesthetic appeal into the new building space, DCG ONE decided to take advantage of the building’s large windows, which span roughly 50-feet. From previous experience, DCG ONE knew Mactac’s IMAGin B-free Window Film media would be perfect for the job. The lead designer from DCG ONE’s packaging and retail department designed a mid-century themed window graphic pattern. Using B-free Frosted (JX5796MBFv2) Window Film, the graphics were plotter cut on a Summa S2™ T140 (T Series) and installed on both the inside and outside of the windows to provide a multi-dimensional look. Following dry installation techniques, the installation was complete in just one day.
“Four years ago, we had tried Mactac’s original B-free Window Film media and we loved it,” says Stan Lucas, Wide-Format Business Development Manager for DCG ONE. “Our Mactac sales representative had informed us that there was a new version of B-free Frosted Window Film available and we wanted to test it out. We couldn’t have made a better choice! We love the way the B-free Frosted material looks, and we completed the dry install quickly.”
IMAGin B-free Frosted Window Film is a 3.1-mil translucent, matte-frosted vinyl that is coated on one side with Mactac’s proprietary omni-directional air-egress clear permanent acrylic adhesive. The unique adhesive allows for fast, easy, no-mess dry application and ensures a smooth print surface. It is supported with an 80# polycoated layflat liner and designed for indoor and outdoor window graphics and internally illuminated signs. It can also be used for non-printed window shading.
