Dan Dix, business manager for product development and innovation for Bantex Digital Media, has passed away at his home in Des Plaines, Ill. Mr. Dix led product development and customer support for the Bantex brand for more than 15 years.
“Dan played a central role in the creation and growth of the Bantex Digital Media product line, helping to elevate the quality and value of vinyl banners and signs throughout the industry,” said Craig Zola, vice president of marketing and distribution with Herculite, Inc., the makers of Bantex. “Dan generously shared his knowledge and his time with colleagues at Herculite and with Bantex distributors and sign shops nationwide. We will miss his expertise, his passion for innovation and service and his warm friendship.”
Mr. Dix, 64, was born in Illinois and grew up on his family's farm in Baraboo, Wis. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater. Mr. Dix is survived by his daughter, Morgan Dix, three siblings and his companion, Jane (Gia) Folmer of Des Plaines. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA).
