For years, Ricoh (Booth 3601) has been dedicated to giving printers the tools they need to stand out from the competition, grow their capabilities and grow their businesses. Increasingly, for signage shops, that means expanding capabilities to include sheetfed options. The new RICOH Pro C7200X series continues in Ricoh’s rich capability-expanding tradition, delivering five-color printing at a price point that would have been unimaginably low not long ago. The series empowers printers to introduce five-color larger format, sheetfed printing into their portfolio with a single reliable, affordable, versatile press. At a time when signage shops are looking to become one-stop shops for customers by offering new and expanded services, the C7200X series is an incredibly efficient investment.
These presses offer incredible power and flexibility, especially for their price point. Users have the option to print on paper lengths up to 49.6 inches simplex or 27.5 inches duplex, empowering signage shops to offload, back up or enhance the production of larger format color applications. To help manage the various dark, textured and synthetic substrates the C7200X series can leverage, this series is among the first to introduce the 17-inch Smart Operation Panel, which allows users to intuitively browse and manage the Paper Library directly from the device. This is an important addition, due to the devices’ ability to handle extremely diverse substrates, up to 360 gsm, including window clings and rich linens. The larger panel also brings new job- and workflow-management options directly to the device, while offering seamless remote job management and monitoring. Operators can keep an eye on and even manage their floor on the go, no matter where their work takes them.
The RICOH Pro C7200X series prints at 2400 x 4800 dpi VCSEL image quality with a large color gamut without sacrificing speed or versatility. The series offers 85- and 95-ppm models with auto-duplex capabilities. The ability to print white and CMYK in a single pass allows C7200X series users to turn around the widest array of eye-catching applications in its class even faster. This is a major advantage for printers looking to compete in a market where print buyers expect quicker and quicker turn times. In-line sensors automatically aid front-to-back registration and color calibration, so applications come out clean, crisp and professional with high reliability. The precision provided by these sensors also contributes to faster turn times — and can reduce waste and further drive efficiency by helping to prevent misprints.
