Mesa, AZ-based manufacturing and graphic printing company, Group Imaging, acquired an Océ Colorado 1640 roll-to-roll printer from Canon Solutions America Inc. (Booth 2037). This new acquisition will take their business to new heights.
The company’s investment in the missions of the organizations they support ultimately led to the purchase of the Océ Colorado 1640. Immediately following the launch of the new UV print technology, Group Imaging was fascinated by the printer’s capabilities, and was later convinced that the printer would satisfy the company’s passion for creative projects such as wallpaper printing, and for offering customers stunning custom products.
In business for more than 20 years, Group Imaging owners Jeff and Charlotte Burris continue to drive their business forward by immersing themselves in the customer experience, which includes finding the latest industry products so customers are never compromising quality or reliability. With a deep sense of the customers’ needs and having spent ten years as ministers in local churches, Jeff and Charlotte made the decision to focus their efforts on supporting charity, educational and good-cause organizations through their print services. Today, many of Group Imaging’s clients are churches, non-profit ministries, colleges and mission organizations.
Recently, Group Imaging provided its children’s theming service to Sun Valley Community Church, which was looking for a revamp of one of its buildings in order to create an engaging environment for children. The Océ Colorado exceeded both Group Imaging’s and the church’s expectations. According to Kyle Glenn, Campus Pastor at Sun Valley Community Church, “The printer was able to meet all of our needs and provide that fun environment we were looking for with outstanding quality and color consistency.”
“We are passionate about the work we do and are proud of what we have been able to accomplish for our customers,” says Jeff Burris, CEO of Group Imaging. “Thanks to Canon’s Océ Colorado 1640 we were able to help Sun Valley Community Church revitalize a large children’s space with dynamic wallpaper coverings and custom contour cut stand-off characters at an affordable price. What’s more, with the Colorado’s fast turnaround times we were able to meet all deadlines for the project without interruption.”
The speed throughput, low ink costs and highly durable photo quality output delivered by the Océ Colorado 1640 equipped Group Imaging to compete with online graphics providers, as well as increased profitability for the company.
“We had an incredible feeling of satisfaction when we learned what Group Imaging had produced with our Océ Colorado 1640,” says Sal Sheikh, Vice President, Marketing, Large Format Solutions, Canon Solutions America. “We are committed to persistent improvement and enhancement of our large-format portfolio to help ensure our customers are well-equipped to go above and beyond for their customers as Group Imaging has done for Sun Valley Community Church. We could not be more proud and grateful we are able to share this project with all of our customers.”
