Human2Human: Bringing the Personal Touch Back to an Impersonal World
Technology has had a huge effect on all facets of life, and business is no exception. Communication in businesses has undergone a huge change thanks to technology. 2018 SGIA Expo has a session to help attendees adjust to those changes. Ryan Sauers, President of Sauers consulting, will host the presentation and it will take place today at 9 am in room N114.
Human interaction has changed due to technology. Cell phones, emails and video calls dominate communication, and this has changed how business works. Sauers believes that this has damaged certain aspects of communication and that some things get lost these days.
“I think in many businesses the human to human thing, which has been the backbone of all business or all organizations forever, has kind of been overlooked in the last decade,” Sauers says. “With all the social media and text and emails, people are forgetting that people buy from people.”
Sauers believes that using that human touch can add something to a sales approach in today’s world that could help a business stand out from the pack.
“It sounds like a pretty elementary concept, but we are really going to take this back to the basics,” Sauers says.
Sauers believes that combining the technological advancements of today with the personal communication that has been the backbone of human society can help any business be better at sales.
“The secret is not to say it’s either the human to human touch or the technology it’s both,” Sauers says.
