Building on a solid track record of innovation, Chicago-based AWT World Trade has introduced the Accu-Cure UV LED graphics drying system, allowing screen printers to access to the cost-cutting LED technology that is reshaping the industry.
The Accu-Cure UV LED Curing System utilizes the latest LED technology to deliver an effective Ultra Violet curing system that consumes less power than standard UV dryers, increases output, and enhances workplace safety.
“LED light sources mean huge savings over mercury halide bulbs, with significantly longer lifespans, minimal degradation of output, lower energy consumption, and zero ozone,” according to AWT President Mike Green. “It’s the wavelength of the future.”
Featuring touchscreen controls, a durable Fiberlon conveyor belt, and AWT’s exclusive Belt-Tracking System, the Accu-Cure UV LED operates at significantly lower temperatures than other UV dryers, consuming less energy. The system produces no ozone, so it requires no outside venting, and the lower operating temperature means that the Accu-Cure UV LED can be cooled with untreated ambient air.
The standard vacuum hold-down system keeps lightweight substrates in place during operation, and the curing head is repositionable for user convenience. The height of the curing head can be adjusted to accommodate substrates of various thicknesses. Specially designed, adjustable light shields protect operators from incidental exposure to UV light.
