For the third year in a row, AMI Graphics has invested in its growth and sustainability. In 2021, AMI invested in the first P5 Tex iSub in North America. In 2022, it invested in the first P5 500i in North America, and in late 2023, AMI invested in the brand-new P5 350 HSRi.
AMI runs on three principles; Honesty, Integrity and Service, and Durst technology helps them keep that commitment. “It is true, three Durst printers in three years. They have changed our outlook on production time and quality,” said Peter Wensberg, President of AMI Graphics. “The Durst equipment has allowed us to provide our products and services at a level we did not think was possible a few short years ago.”
The P5 350 HSR made its American debut at the 2023 PRINTING United Expo, but AMI had pledged itself to this printer long before that. Having invested in the latest technology two years in a row, the promise the P5 350 HSR offered was one AMI knew they could count on. The P5 350 HSR is a dedicated roll-to-roll printing machine, printing widths up to 3.5 m and an unparalleled productivity up to 7,212 sq.ft/h (670 sqm/h). “The speed and print quality of the 350 HSRi was what we liked about this printer,” commented Wensberg. “We are cutting back on overtime, running high quantity banner jobs with less production disruption and running wallpaper and a variety of coverings on this machine, making it very versatile.”
The evolution of the P5 platform has truly reshaped the future of the industry, and partners like AMI are at the forefront of this transformation. Matt Loede, Director of Large Format, Textile & Software – Sales, Durst North America commented, “Durst has always been at the forefront of digital advancement, and it is exhilarating to help our partners be at the forefront of their industry. With this third P5 printer at AMI, they have secured their continued success, and committed themselves to sustainable growth. We are very pleased to have partnered with them again and look forward to seeing their business thrive.”
“We have worked very hard with Durst on a few specific product applications that have propelled our quality standards to the next level,” concluded Wensberg. “The decision to purchase three in three years was made for us once we installed our first Durst, and I don’t think we are done.”
