Colour Digital is an established online print company in the U.K. catering to both B2B as well as B2C customers. They were early users of eCommerce, and started with Magento for their four online brands offering varied print products like calendars, NCR, presentation folders, flyers, leaflets and stationery products.
They had many challenges converting Magento as per the print industry needs, so they spent endless hours in coding and bought many extensions, but after a few years they hit the wall. Their major challenge was to enhance the online designing experience with the internal workflow and order processing, as post-order processes were manual. In 2015, they started working with Radix Software — OnPrintShop (Booth 334) and its specialized tools and strategic ideas. With OnPrintShop, they automated all customer communication, pre-press and production processes using varied modules.
Results:
• 70 Percent Reduced Manpower: A team of six people was reduced to two, and people from different departments were moved to the production departments. They launched five websites in just six months.
• Complete Automated System: Most of the manual activities were shifted to the automated system. Customers now order through the website, for which the office staff isn’t required to answer calls, provide quotes, give invoices, etc.
• Increase in Sales: The order management is extremely effective now, and that has provided the team with more time to focus on ‘increasing their 100 percent sales’. The numbers of repeat customers and new clients have gone up tremendously.
“By working with OnPrintShop, we were able to reduce 70 percent of our manpower required to process orders,” says Neil Kerridge, Systems & Operations Manager.
With all the other advantages like the multiple stores via a central admin, online designer options and dynamic price calculator with advanced rules and customization, this is one of the major highlights for simplifying all Colour Digital’s tasks. They were very happy with the solutions, and the photobook personalization worked exceptionally well for them.
“If I am to be truly honest, I had no part in selecting this software for use with our business, and was very dubious of the distance between us as a U.K.-based company. And dealing with an internationally based company, I thought we were going to have language issues and the solution wouldn’t be at par with anything that a European provider could have supplied us,” says Colour Digital Print Ltd.’s Director. “I am pleased to admit that I was wrong, completely wrong! My manager selected this software after extensive research in this field. Not only is the price point spot on, the speed and support of the team, we are dealing with, puts any other European company we have dealt with to shame.”
“The software is a great fit for our business model and was effortless to pick up with — this teamed with the exemplary level of support we have received and the ongoing development of the software makes it a very robust, solid solution,” Kerridge says.
